Where might I find lead? Salt Lake County handout showing old paint, toys, keys, jewelry, dishes and more

Where might I find lead?

Lead hides in everyday things. Old paint and dust in homes built before 1978, old toys, keys, costume jewelry, stained glass, even fishing sinkers. You cannot see it, but you can find it. The quiz works in Spanish and a dozen other languages, and it points you to exactly what to check.

Check your food before you buy it

Many baby foods now have to test for lead and post the results. You can check the lot number on the jar right there in the store. You can also see how much lead your family's everyday food might add up to.
