Detect Lead is operated by Fluoro-Spec Inc. We want every visitor, including people with disabilities, to be able to find information about lead safety, read about our test kits, and complete a purchase on this site.

Our commitment

We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 AA is the standard widely used in commercial accessibility law and policy in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

What we do

We design pages so they can be read and operated with a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
We aim for sufficient color contrast between text and background.
We use semantic HTML so screen readers can announce headings, lists, and links correctly.
We provide text alternatives for meaningful images, and we mark decorative images so they are skipped.
We avoid content that flashes more than three times per second.
We are progressively reviewing existing pages and remediating issues as we find them or as they are reported.

Known limitations

Some pages on the site embed third-party content (for example, video, customer reviews, or chat widgets). We do not control the accessibility of all third-party content. Where we are aware of a limitation, we are working with the vendor or replacing the component. If you encounter a barrier from any third-party embed, please tell us so we can prioritize it.

If you let us know which page caused the problem, what assistive technology you were using, and what happened, we can fix it faster. We aim to respond within five business days and resolve verified issues within 30 days, sooner when feasible.

Alternative access

If you are unable to complete a task on the site because of an accessibility barrier, contact us and we will help you complete it by phone or email. This includes placing an order, requesting our Safety Data Sheet, or accessing any other information on the site.
