How to use the spray extender ring

The fluorescence reaction is so sensitive that a test needs only a tiny amount of liquid. The spray extender ring installs on your bottle and cuts the amount that comes out with each press, so a single bottle stretches to around 500 tests instead of running dry early. It now comes standard in every FluoroSpec kit.

What it is

A small ring that seats on the spray bottle. It restricts the nozzle so each spray releases a fine, measured amount of solution rather than a heavy mist. Same coverage on the surface, far less liquid used per test.

Why it matters

Lead only needs a thin film of solution to light up under the UV flashlight. Without the ring, the bottle empties fast. With it, you get the full life out of the bottle, about 500 tests, which is what keeps the per-test cost down to pennies.

Installing it

1

Unscrew the sprayer top from the bottle.

2

Seat the ring over the nozzle opening as shown in the video above.

3

Screw the top back on and test a spray. You should see a lighter, finer mist.

Get a FluoroSpec kit

The ring is included free in every kit and refill now, so there is nothing extra to buy. If you have an older kit without one, reach out and we will get one to you.
