This kit is easy to use and very helpful. I already had to throw away 2 coffee cups that were used regularly. I’m slowly going through our house and I know I feel safer using this.
10/10, absolutely worth the money. I thrift dish ware all the time and knew I needed to start checking the paint on them after I saw so many videos of lots of things testing positive. I found cups my kids were using had lead on them!! I got rid of them right away and have the peace of mind. I even started educating friends more and never realized how unaware people are about this. Game changer. I had suspected there was lead in my house, but thanks to this kit I know exactly where (plot twist, it wasnt where I thought!) now with two little ones I have more peace of mind that im doing everything within my control to keep them safe. Very easy to use. Get instant results on if things have lead. Easy way to confirm if you are worried is to then google any named product and see if its had lead found in it. I had some dishes by Lenox that were temperware and immediely found lead with this but also when googling. Do I know how much lead these items have using this ? No, but why bother having any where you can remove it from your life.

Very easy to use to test for lead in dish ware and beyond. I discovered one of my bowls that’s been in the family for ages was just covered in lead. Sad to part with old things, but it’s better to know!

I read a book about the Flint water crisis recently, then found Eric's instagram page. Once I found there were kits to buy, I had to try it immediately! Because science. No kids around, but plenty of nice glassware for alcohol. From Eric's videos it's shocking how many things still contain lead - I'm stoked to be able to try it! So far I've only found lead on the outside of a glass at home.
I work in a very high lead area at my job. I used this product to make sure I was not bringing that lead home with me. I ended up taking my lead from a 25 to a 14 in a month. Know is power. I help ladies with high levels in their children find the source to help lower their levels as well.
Because of this product, I finally parted with several wedding gifts from 40 years ago because they tested positive for lead.
I've tried those swabs, and they are useless. This is pricier, but the results are very clear when lead is present. I've done the testing I wanted to do in my home and have it stored away for future use. Will share the testing kit with family and friends - lots of uses.
so much easier to use than those vinegar lead tests. it is on the expensive side but the kit comes with all you could need including batteries which is very useful
Wow, I wish I had bought this ages ago. Surprised to see some of our dishes have lead. Works much better if you can find a dark place to shine the light.
Worked great, made a drinking game out of it going through my moms China, no China was broken but lots of led found. Also found led on a commonly used bowl.
I expected to find some lead on the vintage dishes, but not quite this much! Nor did I expect my chest of drawers to have an exposed layer of lead. While this is going to be a project, I'm relieved to know I'll never drink from that bone china Mikasa cup again. Eric, thank you!
This product is much easier to use compared to the regular lead test swabs. I was able to detect lead clearly in my new home and resolve it, making it invaluable for families with small children.
