Source: California AB 899 mandatory lot-level heavy-metals disclosures, scraped from each brand's public-facing test-results portal.
Coverage: 25 brands · 704 unique products · 17,882 lot-level records processed.
Date range: Tests conducted 2024-09-25 to 2026-04-01 (AB 899 effective window).
Non-detects imputed at a conservative 0.5 ppb (half the typical ICP-MS limit of detection).
<X values (reported as "below quantitation") treated as X/2.
Thresholds for color-coding: Lead green <5, yellow 5–50, red >50 · Cadmium green <20, yellow 20–100, red >100 · Arsenic green <10, yellow 10–100, red >100 · Mercury green <10, yellow 10–50, red >50 (all in ppb).
Missing cells (", ") indicate the brand/product did not report that metal in their AB 899 filings.
