I'm Eric. I built Fluoro-Spec because most of the early swab buyers were parents whose kids had already been poisoned. The data on this page is the part you can read before you buy anything. It answers one question. What's in the jar I hand my kid.

California AB 899 forced 25 brands to disclose lab results on every lot. They did. We scraped, cleaned, averaged. The table below is the result.

25 brands, ranked.

Sort by any metal. Click a row for that brand's per-product breakdown. Green is under the safe band. Yellow is elevated. Red is concerning.

How we computed this.

  • Source: California AB 899 lot-level disclosures, scraped from each brand's public portal.
  • Coverage: 25 brands, 704 unique products, 17,882 lot-level records.
  • Date range: 2024-09-25 to 2026-04-01.
  • Non-detects imputed at 0.5 ppb (half a typical ICP-MS limit of detection).
  • <X values treated as X/2.
  • Thresholds: Lead green <5 / yellow 5–50 / red >50. Cadmium green <20 / yellow 20–100 / red >100. Arsenic green <10 / yellow 10–100 / red >100. Mercury green <10 / yellow 10–50 / red >50. (ppb)
  • Missing cells mean the brand didn't report that metal.

The table tells you which brands you should not buy. The kit tells you what's already in your kitchen.
