FluoroSpec · DetectLead

One reagent.
Three ways to apply.

The chemistry and the green glow are the same in all three. Pick the kit that fits how you want to test, whether that's tapping a surface, sweeping a room, or doing both.

Common questions
The FluoroSpec reagent reacts with lead compounds to form perovskite quantum dots that fluoresce bright green under UV light. The glow stays on the lead and won't spread to clean surfaces. No glow means no detectable lead at that spot.
If you're testing dishes, ceramics, tiles, or small objects, get the Drip Kit. For a home built before 1978, where you're checking paint, dust, and walls, get the Spray Kit. If you want to sweep the whole house and test your dishes too, the Full Kit does both and saves you $25 over buying them apart.
The ring threads onto the spray bottle nozzle and widens the spray pattern, covering larger surface areas faster. 500 sprays goes a long way when you're sweeping a room. It's included with both the Spray Kit and the Full Kit.
The reagent is methylammonium bromide in isopropanol. Not for consumption. Keep it away from children, avoid skin and eye contact, and follow the handling instructions. Each kit includes a non-toxic color reference card. Full Safety Data Sheet at detectlead.com/sds.
FluoroSpec is optimized for lead-based paint pigments (lead chromate, lead carbonate, red lead) and ceramic glazes. It's not for dissolved lead in water or trace dietary lead. For those, use the free food and water tools at detectlead.com for those.
Ships in 1-3 business days and you'll get a tracking number by email. The bottle or bottles, UV flashlight, extender ring if it's included, and color card all ship together in one box.
