HOW Fluoro-Spec Works...
PICK A SURFACE TO TEST
• PAINT
If your home was built before 1978, it may contain lead-based paint, both inside and outside. Friction/Impact Surfaces such as windows, railings, doorways, doors, and floors are the primary areas to test, as they generate dust.
• DUST
Ingesting or inhaling lead dust is the most common way children get lead poisoning. Lead Dust is normally INVISIBLE, but FS gives you the ability to see lead with your own eyes. Start with areas near friction surfaces, such as window sills, doorways, stairs, and decks. Your vacuum cleaner or dust pan/broom are great places to look next.
• WATER PIPES
Lead in your water comes from the pipes, if you have no lead in your plumbing you don't need to worry. Test your Water Service Line if your home was built before 1988 and your plumbing fittings, if your home was built before 2014.
• CERAMICS
If you eat off of dishes, bowls, or plates that have designs or markings on them, you may be consuming lead. Lead in the decorations on your dishes can leach into food or liquid that come into contact with it. Use Fluoro-Spec to screen for these sources of lead exposure.
SHINE THE LIGHT ON THE AREA
Shine the included light on an area/object you want to test for Lead.
When UV Light shines on certain objects/surfaces, they may glow; this is called Fluorescence. Always shine the light on the area before applying the liquid, to check for any pre-existing fluorescence.
Lead will NEVER glow green under UV light until Fluoro-Spec liquid is applied, either with the Spray Tip Bottle or Drip Tip Bottle.
To use the Fluoro-Spec test kit correctly, shine the UV flashlight on the surface or object first, and observe any fluorescence. Normally this will appear as blue, but can occasionally be green—remember this is NOT lead, because you haven't applied your Fluoro-Spec liquid on the testing area yet.
Now let's get to the FUN PART - Using your FS test kit!
KNOW THE GLOW! - LEAD VISION
Seeing is safe—while shining the UV light, Spray or Drip your Fluoro-Spec Liquid onto the testing area and watch for the green glow! Now that you can see the lead, you can easily eliminate the threat.
IT'S LEAD VISION IN A BOTTLE
Once the liquid contacts the surface/object, it transforms the lead into a fluorescent compound that glows bright green under UV light.
This is why Fluoro-Spec is so effective at protecting against lead exposure: it makes invisible lead contamination visible to the naked eye—without the need for costly third-party testing, traditional dust wipes, or expensive equipment like an XRF gun.
Fluoro-Spec goes beyond the typical dust concentration measurement of one square foot to give a clearer picture of our safety. It not only detects the presence of lead but also helps assess the level of exposure risk—without the need to spend $500 or more on multiple inspections.

Are You a Homeowner?
Or Plan to Renovate?
The worst scenarios typically look like this:
A homeowner begins a renovation project, unaware that lead paint is present in their home. The contractor neglects to conduct the proper testing, and during the work, lead paint is disturbed, releasing toxic lead dust into the home. The children in the home become poisoned with lead. Now, the work has halted and the price of the renovation skyrockets, often to 100%-200% of the original price, due to the need for lead abatement and containment. The family is left now with an unfinished project, far exceeding their budget, and the devastating consequences of lead poisoning threatening their children's health and well-being.
Unfortunately, this situation happens far too often. Protect your loved ones and take the guesswork out of home renovation with Fluoro-Spec.
Do You Have Vintage Dishes?
Or Do You Like to Thrift?
Who doesn't love thrifting?
Sadly, there is often lead in those beautifully painted ceramics. Remember: if it glows, it's NOT SAFE.
